Today’s piece has been known to strike fear into some of our singers. It is a challenging and unusual Mass written by a South African composer, Peter Klatzow. Challenging because it sometimes uses multiple key and time signatures at the same time. Unusual because it includes Marimba. And, to the best of our knowledge, this performance was the premiere for the Mass in North America.
