We begin a miniseries on Consort’s 25th anniversary season. On June 17th, 2018 we held our first fundraising event ever, calling it, “A Meal with the Maestro.” It was well attended, and we learned a lot more about Allan.
Fortunately, it was recorded for those who could not attend. The video is in two parts. This first one shows Lily O’Brien’s interview of Allan.
Quiz of the Day Which instrumentalist (accompanist or orchestra member) has been playing with us for the most seasons? The answer may surprise you! (Answer tomorrow) |
After the interview, we continued with questions from the audience for Allan.
Persons of the Day: Our Fundraising volunteers Today we extend our thanks to Betsy Levine-Proctor who is the Consort Board of Director’s member in charge of fund raising. With our new format, Consort has the additional expenses of the guest directors and we have generally expanded our orchestra in these recent years. Our income is primarily from singer registrations and ticket sales, but about one-third is now coming from this fundraising event and direct donations. In fact, now might be a good time to check out the donation button at the bottom of these emails! Obviously this year is different, but we still do have some ongoing expenses and we want to be ready to bring Jennaya here in 2021. We would also like to thank Lily O’brien who was our MC and Interviewer for these fundraisers, David Raub, our Treasurer, and Ruthann Lovetang and her friends for helping with setup. |
