Missa Brevis Boreal was published by Dr. Matthew Emery at the age of 24. He is perhaps the youngest composer in Consort’s repertoire and a Canadian composer, fitting for today because it is Canada Day, the national day of Canada. As stated in our 2015 program, “His writing contains a maturity beyond his years that has already caught the attention of conductors throughout the North American continent.”
